Query Management Countdown to Christmas

 To be sure you can sit down to Christmas dinner without worrying about the money you’re owed, it’s time to take action now.
 
1.      Get your invoices out promptly. 
 
2.      Don’t be afraid to ask clients to pay; most wait to be asked!
 
3.      Talk to your customers earlier rather than later, & keep talking to them (nicely) until the bill is paid.
 
4.      Prepare a schedule for calls, so they get diaried and done.
 
5.      Find out when your customer’s December payment run is, & make sure they have your invoice in time to put it in the system. Otherwise, you could be waiting until mid-Jan.
 
6.      Prepare for customers with a December year end to be less willing to pay in this period.  Suggest early payment for Nov or Jan.
 
7.      Don’t live with cheques being lost in the Christmas post. If you don’t already encourage electronic payments, now’s the time to start.
 
8.      Check the bank account, smile, and shut the door for a well-deserved break.
